180 Dance & Fitness Centre Established 29th October 1977

In 1977 we opened the 180 Dance Club (now the 180 Dance & Fitness Centre) which is situated in Elliott Street, Tyldesley near Manchester, teaching classes for Ballroom & Latin American Dancing for all ages. From there we introduced Disco/Freestyle dancing, and of course Salsa, fitness, Zumba and Rock & Roll.

In 1978 we started, Nigel & Janice Horrocks  Dancesport Promotions. From then we commenced running major championships in all styles of dancing, dinner dances and now festivals of dance.

Today , some 34 years on, Nigel & Janice concentrate on running all the major dancing events in the UK. Nigel is the chairman of the Dance Promoters Association, and both still are fully committed to giving backup to the 180 Dance & Fitness Centre which today is under the management of Joanne Horrocks & Donna Wyatt.
